Cystic Fibrosis

- Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system
- It is buildup of thick, sticky mucus that can damage many of the body's organs
- Cystic Fibrosis is a known as an autosomal recessive trait which means that both copies of the genes in the cell has a mutation
- Treatments for Cystic Fibrosis can help the situation but there is no cure for the genetic disorder

Reflection:
Cystic Fibrosis is a very dangerous, life-threatening disorder that is inherited because of a mutation that is in both copies of the genes in cells. I learned that it is very serious even though it's rare for people to develop Cystic Fibrosis. I learned that there are many different disorders that can happen due to mutations in inheritance. Not everyone is as healthy as I thought they would be. There are many things that can occur when it comes to an offspring and there is no way that it can be prevented. It's funny how the world works and how the body works on its own.
